some days are just like this

days that start slow

or way too early

some days are just like this

i think i can i think i can

is all i say

to my

messy brained self

some days are just like this

no rhyme no reason

just me and my coffee.

some days are just like this

flashbacks visions and stories

fade in and out of my mind,

no controlling the flow—

some days are just like this.

i remember when —

yet cannot remember

if i changed that load of laundry

or just thought i did.

being me today

means being

kinder

to this new self

some days are just like this.

today i am freer from guilt

yet more in pain

and yes

somedays

are just like that.

migraines, knee locking

more exercise needed.

somedays.

somehow.

yes

even now

in the

in between

times

of waiting

of watching

of just being still —

the pain comes

and goes

both physically

and mentally

some days are just like this.

and so it goes,

peace be still

calm my heart.

exacerbate not this

pain —

fear not

for some

days

are

just

like

that.

this here

journey

is

all

mine
